If you create a new character and then press W,A,S,D to move nothing happens ESC also doesn't work. I guess it's because the tutorial doesn't start.

mmm thats odd i try it and its fine try to delete the data files they are on C:\Users\user\AppData\LocalLow\Worlds\Worlds let me know if it work

well i dont have a mac but google say that its on Users/username/library/cache/Worlds/Worlds let me know if it work

this doesn't solve the issue.
for future reference, the path on mac is: /Users/<UserName>/Library/Application Support/unity.worlds.worlds/

I am sure that i deleted that entire folder. also followed this link to be sure I deleted everything. Anyone else you know is trying the game and can confirm? maybe it's a just a mac issue and on windows it doesn't happen...

im not using player prefs xD the data is saved on a binary file on the unity application Application.persistentDataPath not sure if player prefs are saved on an other directory

this was fix and the data is saved on the game folder now
